Registered Nurse - ICU RN Travel Michigan $38-43/hr
Job Description - RN - ICU:
The ICU RN provides professional nursing care within the Intensive Care Dept. coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with ICU physicians regarding changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
QUALIFICATIONS
o Has current, legal license in good standing in the state of practice
o Achieved 80% passing score on competency test(s)
o Shows evidence of CPR certification; ACLS required
o Demonstrates ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, in the regular performance of duties on a daily basis
o Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and work in a team atmosphere
o At least 2 years recent ICU experience
o Travel experience a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
o Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
o Performs focused interview to identify specific patients needs
o Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
o Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses
o Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions
o Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements
o Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard
o Documents patient's response to nursing and other interventions
o Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs
o Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
